Event Overview

The foundingGIDE BioImage Hackathon is an exciting gathering of experts from around the globe. The event will address key challenges in making imaging data interoperable and accessible through the use of metadata and ontologies. Participants will collaborate on various projects in flexible team settings, sharing knowledge and practical insights to push the boundaries of bioimaging data management.

Suggested Projects include:

  • Ways to make metadata visually understandable and useful
  • Including ontologies in existing workflows
  • Ontologies for bioimage metadata (Use of existing ontologies, Update of existing ontologies, ontology development, etc.)
  • Exploration in embedding varied metadata in OME-NGFF
  • Next-Generation File Format (NGFF)
  • Discussion for preclinical image metadata
  • Ensuring interoperability across bioimaging data resources
  • Call for more topics!

Format

  • Flexible team formation and rotation
  • Full attendance is NOT required, but we encourage active participation in the projects of your interest
